Message	I still think we're missing a little bit of information. Its hard to diagnose something without knowing everything about it. So your car had a twin pop (style) intake with BOV's and you replaced the BOV's with the stock recirc valves (way better for MAF systems). Did you replace the twin pop intake with a single?
